Three units

The Tofino Mudflats WMA comprises three separate units, totaling 21 square kilometers (8 square miles) in all, of mostly intertidal mudflat.

Units one and two are on the southwest Coast of Meares Island, centered on Arakun and Ducking Flats, respectively.

The third unit includes a complex of mudflats alongside Browning Passage, along the east side of the Esowista Peninsula, southeast of Tofino.
